Loyalsock Creek
A scenic Endless Mountains freestone with strong spring hatches.
Loyalsock Creek drains a large piece of the Endless Mountains plateau and joins the West Branch Susquehanna at Montoursville. It runs roughly 64 miles through Loyalsock State Forest and World's End State Park, and it is one of the more visually spectacular trout rivers in the state.
Much of the upper and middle creek holds wild brown trout; the lower reaches are PFBC stocked. The fishery is best in spring and early summer before warm-weather flow drops and water temps push trout into thermal refuges.
