French Creek (Chester County)

Trout water inside French Creek State Park, an hour from Philly.

Note: this is the Chester County French Creek (south-central PA), not the larger French Creek in northwest Pennsylvania, which is a separate warm-water and smallmouth river.

The Chester County French Creek flows through French Creek State Park and joins the Schuylkill at Phoenixville. It is a stocked trout stream with documented holdover, and one of the closest fly-fishing options to Philadelphia.
