Wyoming

Native cutthroat country and the West's biggest tailwater trout.

Wyoming holds the headwaters of three great American river systems — the Snake (Columbia), the Green (Colorado), and the North Platte (Missouri) — and the native cutthroat that evolved in each.

It is also home to the native range of the Snake River fine-spotted cutthroat, found nowhere else, and to the North Platte tailwaters — Miracle Mile, Fremont Canyon, Grey Reef — that produce some of the largest trout in the Lower 48.
