Kinnickinnic River

A wild-trout spring creek 45 minutes from St. Paul.

The Kinnickinnic ('the Kinni') flows through River Falls, Wisconsin and into the St. Croix River. It is a Wisconsin DNR Class I trout stream — meaning the population is fully self-sustaining without stocking — with dense wild brown trout numbers.

The upper river above River Falls is the meadow spring creek most anglers come for. The lower river below the dam is broader, brushier, and holds bigger fish.
