ODFW manages Oregon's fisheries and publishes river-by-river rules each year — the Deschutes, the Metolius, the North Umpqua, the Rogue and more. Always check the current ODFW regulations for the water you plan to fish.

Per BLM, the Lower Deschutes — the last 100 miles of the river — is a federal Wild and Scenic River and an Oregon Scenic Waterway, flowing through a rimrock-lined canyon to the Columbia.
