Thompson Spring Creek

The second spring creek on the Milesnick (MZ) Ranch in the Gallatin Valley near Belgrade, Thompson is a tributary of the East Gallatin River and runs roughly parallel to Benhart. Subject of long-running ecological restoration work.

Same access caveat as Benhart — reservation-based access was suspended in the early 2010s; verify directly with the ranch.

Expect technical sight fishing for wild browns and rainbows in clear, weedy water.

Carry PMDs, Baetis, midges, scuds, sowbugs, and small terrestrials.
