Monocacy Creek

A technical limestone spring creek flowing through Bethlehem in Northampton County. Despite an urban setting, its cold, mineral-rich aquifers support wild brown trout and dense insect life, and Monocacy Chapter of Trout Unlimited maintains long-running restoration work here.

Approach quietly; urban spring-creek trout are pressured and selective.

Sulphurs, olives, midges, scuds, sowbugs, caddis, and ants are dependable.

Confirm current PFBC regulations and any special-regulation reaches before fishing.
